Why does this product include a Proposition 65 cancer warning?

The state of California passed a law in 1986, "The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986." This law requires that any product that might contain any one of the California’s 23+ page list of over 1,000 chemicals that California considers risky must carry this label. Our company tests our products to be careful that it does not contain any harmful chemicals. If our company does not apply the PROP65 Warning Label onto our products, we risk being sued by lawyers in California who can allege (even falsely) that our products might contain any one of the chemicals. By placing the label on our products, we avoid costly frivolous lawsuits. Our products are safe. We comply with all laws. We design and manufacture our products to the highest ethical and quality standards.
